  Very family-friendly. Birds for Africa (friendly & clearly well fed), eel feeding was really interesting & a highlight for the kids. Nice, easy native bush walk (about 30 minute round trip, gentle stroll. Bring your mozzie repellent though.). Didn't see the nocturnal enclosure this time. Something to look forward to next time.

  This visit was amazing. Not only did we see rare birds and reptiles and that are and rare plants like mistletoe and others we also saw stick insects, puriri larvae and Weta in the wild....this reserve is well worth the visit and admission was very reasonable. My suggestion would be to take a picnic lunch with you.
